We had an absolutely splendid day at Shawnee and Jack's wedding last week! Le Petit Chateau was, as per usual, simply gorgeous and every single detail at this wedding was perfection thanks to the wedding planner, Kelly. Best part though....Shawnee and Jack are an absolutely awesome couple! There was an air of adorable twitterpation every time they were together and their happiness was contagious. This photo pretty much says it all....
I am always excited when the bride and groom decide to do a first look, but Shawnee and Jack's first look in front of the Bridger Mountains just knocked my socks off. Check it!
Jack and Shawnee's ceremony was beautiful. Tess from Happily Ever After Weddings was their officiant and she is just amazing! And there were some really special moments throughout the ceremony, which made it extra special. Jack and Shawnee decided to have a ring warming ceremony where the rings were handed to each guest in a box so that they could pass warm wishes onto the couple...so cool! Jack's Father got up to say a few words during the ceremony as well and that was just awesome. His words were meaningful and beautiful and I doubt there was a dry eye in the crowd :)
After the ceremony we had a simply AH-mazing dinner from Just a Taste Catering and then had some delicious cake from Cakes by Jenn. To top it off, Jodi from Just a Taste made mini apple pies but get this....she used the groom's Mom's recipe! So delicious. Pie makes me happy. End of paragraph.
There were some amazing toasts from the maid of honor and best man (the maid of honor and Shawnee have been besties forever so it was super adorable.)
Then Shawnee's mom Faye made a toast and all the feels came out. The bartender and I looked at each other while this was all going down and we were seriously both misty eyed. There was so much love from both sides of this family and it was extra special to be able to capture all of those emotional moments!
After dinner the party got started and everyone had a great time dancing! The first dance was seriously awesome. These two love birds serenaded each other with some Aerosmith and let me tell you....when a bride and groom sing "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" to one another....you know it's the real deal :)
Shawnee's dance with her dad was so sweet (daddy daughter love always gets me!) and Faye's reaction to them dancing was definitely one of my favorite moments of the day.
The mother son dance was equally awesome but definitely a little faster paced! We knew from the minute they got out there that it was going to be a good one.
So, I've mentioned the details already but seriously.....the details! Kelly from Le Petit Chateau completely knocked it out of the park. The head table was stunning, the centerpieces were gorgeous, and there were a few bonus details that just made the night. Everyone had blasty blast at the adorable photo booth, which included an actual polaroid camera! I was (not even kidding) kind of amazed. Technology right?!
Okay but you guys.....the piece de resistance was most definitely the bride and groom slideshow. This was not any old slideshow though believe me! Kelly set it up completely drive-in-movie style and it was more than a little bit awesome. Popcorn and everything!
The night ended with absolute amazingness because....wait for it....there were sparklers!!!!! Shawnee and Jack did a sparkler send off, which was super fun and awesome.
And then to end the night we did a little light drawing! I'm still definitely not an expert at this yet (and I may have embarrassed myself running back and forth with the sparklers) but I think it turned out okay anyway!
Congratulations to Jack and Shawnee! Great couple, great wedding, awesome day :) Sherry and I are so glad that we got to be a part of your wedding. We had an amazing time and wish you all the best!
