Photographing friends is always a treat....photographing their wedding though is just plain wonderful! My husband and I have known Dillon and Steph for a few years now, so being able to capture their wedding day was awesome. These lovely human beings are some of the best, both individually and as a couple. They always seem to be rocking adventures together and even when they're not hiking to the top of a mountain, they still have a blast. Pretty sure their last Instagram photo was them giggling while they ate ice cream and watched the bachelorette. So yeah….get ready for adorable happiness and love and laughter in this post!
This wedding though you guys....so awesome! Not surprising considering the couple, but still :) The venue for this lovely event was The Ponds at Dry Creek, which is becoming one of my absolute favs. With gorgeous willow trees and beautiful water everywhere, it’s not hard to get great photos!
Also helpful in the photo department was the fact that Steph, Dillon and their stellar wedding crew were looking pretty darn amazing. Steph was stunner central in a gorgeous gown from Plume, and her bridesmaids rocked beautiful navy blue dresses. Dillon and his guys were also looking fly in grey suits paired with awesome leather suspenders. Seriously check this gorg group!
The flowers from Kokoro Flowers were on point as well and perfectly complimented the attire.
I loved how many beautiful and personal touches there were at this wedding. Steph’s bridesmaid Shonna created these gorgeous handwritten signs (skills!) and her husband Jared (also in the wedding party) was actually their officiant, which made the ceremony just plain lovely. Also, Steph actually made her cake and all of her cupcakes HERSELF! I had one, it was delightful :)
The reception was super awesome as well, like at least 1000 fun units. There were probably five different lawn games to play and the best photo booth ever! Heart and Arrow Photo Booth is run by some good friends of ours and everyone had such a blast with it.
Steph and Dillon’s first dance was so great as well. Their friend and groomsman Quinn is an extremely talented musician and played a beautiful song for them. Cue the feels!
After that we lucked out big time with the sunset! I’m talking purple and pink sky kind of sunset. It was not at all pretty or anything….
Congrats to Steph and Dillon on being awesome and getting married and having one of the best weddings ever! You guys are amazing and you deserve every happiness that is coming your way. Love you guys!
