This past weekend I photographed the beautiful backyard wedding of Meagan and Brandon! Let me just start by saying that this wasn't the typical back yard. The Bridger Mountains were literally out the back door of Meagan's parents' house so, as you can imagine, the views during the ceremony were absolutely breathtaking!
Meagan and Brandon are from pretty much the opposite sides of the world (not even kidding!) Meagan grew up in Montana/Wisconsin and Brandon hails from Australia but interestingly enough, they met in neither of those places! Serendipity had these two living in the Seattle area at the same time, which is where they met and started their love story together!
This wedding day was gorgeous from start to finish. The venue was obviously beautiful, but there were so many amazing and unique touches as well in the details! Meagan pretty much thought of everything when it came to her guests. There was a chest of blankets set out by the reception area for when the night got chilly, and she actually rented a teepee and filled it with toys and coloring books for the kids at the wedding! Although I do think Meagan enjoyed the teepee just as much as the kids ;)
Speaking of kids, can we just take a minute to talk about how adorable these little monkeys were? And to top it off, they were such good listeners and were super excited to have their photo taken! Love it!
Meagan and Brandon had an awesome reception, with great food, heartfelt toasts, and super fun dances! Meagan and her Dad actually learned how to swing dance, and showed off their skills during the father daughter dance! So sweet!
The dessert needs a quick shout out as well because it. was. AMAZING! Sweet Pea Bakery created an amazing Geode cake for the bride and groom that was just plain stunning. And then Meagan and her mom made all of the pastry for the tarts and pies! So impressive!
Right before sunset we noticed some absolutely beautiful light, so I was able to take Meagan and Brandon out for a few more photos! I still cannot get over this gorgeousness!
And I have to add these two photos in here as well because they're just hilarious! It's not every wedding that the bride and groom chase each other through a field during sunset. Can you tell these two have fun together?! ;)
Congrats to Meagan and Brandon! I'm so thrilled that I got to be a part of your amazing day :) I know that nothing but great things are in store for you two! Best wishes and happy forever!
