This weekend was aaahhhmazing! Emily and Connor got married out at The Big Yellow Barn and everything about their day was just fantastic. For starters, this couple is adorable. They are completely in love with one another and you can tell right away that they have a blasty blast when they are together. Plus....these two human beings are just plain gorgeous. Seriously.....every photo of Emily and Connor was like a painting. I mean reeeeally?! Is this real life?!
The Big Yellow Barn was the perfect setting for this fabulous shindig. The view of the mountains during the ceremony was just gorgeous and the barn itself is amazing. Check it.
Emily had some absolutely fabulous details for me to document. The dress was breathtaking, the garter (handmade by Emily) was fantastic, the ring, her shoes....okay I can't explain it well enough with words so just check out these photos!
Let's talk about the flowers for a minute because yeah.....the flowers. This was my first time laying eyes on floral arrangements created by Julio at Kirkham & Co. and I just have one word: STUNNING. The level of artistry here is top notch and I'm pretty sure that everything that man touches turns to pure beauty.
Emily and Connor are obviously blessed with an amazing group of friends in their life, so they had an awesome wedding party. They were all super fun, had a great time, and even came out for sunset photos later on in the night, even though it was cold :) Plus they all rocked the attire and looked fabulous.
Ok so the venue was gorgeous, the flowers were amazing, the wedding party was looking fly, but of course....the weather decided to be just plain ridiculous and battered us all with incredibly high winds. I'm pretty sure at one point there was a gust of around 50 mph during the ceremony. That didn't stop these love birds from saying their I do's though, and the ceremony went on as planned (thanks to some awesome coordinating from Genevieve at Time of Your Life Weddings) and it seriously turned out ah-maze. I mean...a little wind (and a bit of hair in the bride's face) wasn't going to keep this epic first kiss from happening!
After the ceremony we all took shelter in the barn and enjoyed an amazing pasta bar dinner from Liz at Just a Taste Catering. Then we had some.....wait for it.....donuts! If you all haven't tried the amazingness from Granny's Gourmet Donuts in Bozeman, then you have not yet lived!!
During the reception there were so many great toasts from Emily and Connor's friends and family, but I do believe that the toast from the mother of the bride just took the cake. Laura wrote a poem for Emily (so many happy tears) and put it into a frame for her with photos of mother and daughter together throughout Emily's growing up. So amazing!
Thank GOODNESS the wind finally died down as we were finishing up dinner so Emily, Connor, and their amazing wedding party all followed me outside for some awesome sunset photos. I don't think I've ever had such gorgeous light. The mountains were seriously glowing!
Once we finished up the photos, we headed back into the barn for some dancing! Emily and Connor's first dance was incredibly sweet, and the loft in the barn set the perfect atmosphere with the warm wood and twinkly lights!
The parent dances were also amazing. Emily is super close with both her dad and her step-dad, so she had two father-daughter dances! And who can resist the sweetness that is a mother-son dance....so much love here :)
The rest of the evening was filled with fun and dancing and bouquet and garter tosses! Here's a little party collage to give you a feel for the night!
Congrats to Emily and Connor! You two are amazing and it was so great to see you say your I do's surrounded by your friends, family, and the gorgeous mountains of Montana. Sherry and I had such a blast and were thrilled to be a part of your fantastic day!
